A provider of specialized technical consultancy services for Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), Contineo Financial Risk Solutions Ltd. has been acquired by Plenitude Consulting. The calculated action, which coincides with Plenitude’s twelfth-anniversary celebration, is the company’s first purchase since Growth Capital Partners’ investment in July 2022.
Contineo, which was established in 2017, provides specialized advisory services in data analytics, customer and transaction screening, FCC technology, transaction monitoring and model validation. In a number of industries, the organization provides services to clients in the US, UK, Europe and UAE.
Alan Paterson, Founder & CEO at Plenitude, said, “Contineo’s reputation and deep technical advisory capability is impressive. The decision to bring the businesses together felt absolutely right from a strategic standpoint. Enabling us to meet the evolving needs of our clients and accelerating the build out of our tech advisory and data analytics practices.
“Plenitude has grown organically over the last 12 years, and we always wanted to ensure that any company joining the Plenitude journey had a brilliant culture and reputation for first-class delivery. We look forward to welcoming all of the Contineo team.”
The acquisition fits perfectly with Plenitude’s expansion plan to establish itself as the premier provider of specialized technical advice and a go-to partner for innovative AI-powered FCC solutions.
With the acquisition, Plenitude’s portfolio of technological solutions—which currently includes ClientSight, RegSight and CompassSight—is expanded. The company expands its offering with machine learning, advanced analytics and AI-enabled FCC technology solutions.
The company’s first investment took two years to complete. But Plenitude appears to have discovered Contineo—a business and staff that should fit in well with its array of products and services. Both companies have their headquarters in London, with the majority of their experienced staff there.
