A five-year strategic agreement between Microsoft and the Coca-Cola Company aims to facilitate the adoption of cutting-edge technology and promote innovation and productivity worldwide. On Tuesday, the two firms revealed that Coca-Cola has committed $1.1 billion to the Microsoft Cloud and its generative AI capabilities as part of the arrangement.
According to the sources, the partnership highlights Coca-Cola’s continuous technological transformation, which is supported by Microsoft Cloud, which serves as the company’s strategic and globally preferred cloud and artificial intelligence platform. The firms announced that they will work together to test cutting-edge new technologies like Azure OpenAI Service in order to develop creative, generative AI use cases across a range of business processes. Microsoft’s Copilot might increase workplace efficiency.
Coca-Cola moved all of its apps to Microsoft Azure as part of the agreement. Coca-Cola, a leader in the use of AI, has been using generative AI to innovate for almost a year and has already used Azure OpenAI Service to rethink a variety of industries, including marketing, manufacturing, and supply chains.
The company is currently looking into how to use generative AI-capable digital assistants on the Azure OpenAI Service to help employees improve customer experiences, boost productivity, and identify new growth opportunities. The streamlined workflows will be managed by the AI tools.
Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer for the Coca-Cola Company, Neeraj Tolmare, said the expanded partnership with Microsoft is an important next chapter in the company’s journey toward a digital-first enterprise powered by emerging technologies.
