The French strategy consultancy with deep sustainability expertise, E-CUBE, has set up its first UK office. It has seized on this opportunity in Europe as growing demand for special consulting services on sustainability keeps coming from the energy and transport sectors that E-CUBE is looking to exploit to take up urgent decarbonization needs.
Founded in 2009 by Kestrel Ludlow, E-CUBE centers its focus on being a strategic advisory firm to companies in these sectors, supporting its goal of making sustainable transitions. With 50 consultants across four offices, the firm thinks that the UK is an interesting market for further growth and reflects long-time clients’ desire for comprehensive support across geographies.
Chris Warnes, the UK office head, is optimistic regarding the timing of expansion. “The new government is showing strong support for clean energy initiatives and is placing the UK as a global leader in the battle against climate change. This is the ideal moment for E-CUBE to apply its expertise in this area,” he said.
E-CUBE has a wide portfolio that expands from strategic analysis, economic and regulatory studies, market research to operational performance improvement. Loads of experience with situations from Oliver Wyman as well as leadership positions in main large European energy groups in Centrica plc give Warnes deep insight into the gas and power sectors.
Market integration” was thought to be one of the greatest advantages for opening a UK office. According to Pierre Germain, E-CUBE co-founder, “by entering the UK market we will support our clients and give them access to the best practices from each market.”
The sustainability consulting market, now in unprecedented growth, is estimated to increase in value to $16 billion by 2027, thus indicating the urgent need for the integration of ESG considerations in future business strategies.
